CGI-BIN
Every webmaster has heard about
CGI. CGI lets you run a program on the server. Comment forms,
message boards, and web counters are some of the common uses for
CGI. While not as fast as ASP, CGI is still the preferred option by
many webmasters.
Each 100 Meg account comes with a private per domain CGI-BIN
directory at no extra cost. That means you can start building a
dynamic web site right away using CGI.
GainWithUs has support for Perl(Unix),
Visual Basic 4, and Visual Basic 5 scripts.
Unix based Perl scripts
ALL Unix Perl scripts will work at GainWithUs.
1) You will need to chmod to 755
2) Perl Path /usr/bin/perl
3) Some pathnames will need to be changed, since the directory
structures of might differ Unix.
4) Perl scripts must end in .pl or .cgi
5) $mailprog = '/usr/sbin/sendmail';
